The McDonald Drive congregation was originally named the Park City Church of Church, established in 1952. The church relocated and was renamed the McDonald Drive Church of Christ in 1984.

The current leadership of the congregation consists of two Elders, H. Frank Shanklin, Sr. and Dennis Wolfe and two Deacons, Nate Sumpter and Nathan Wood.

The congregation is located approximately 5 miles east of downtown Knoxville.

OUR MINISTER


Eric Bonner and his wife, Paige, have been married for 24 years and they have two children.  Eric graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.  He worked in television and radio for several years before deciding to commit to preaching full time.  From there he attended the East Tennessee School of Preaching and graduated in 1996.  In addition to being the minister of McDonald Drive Church of Christ, he writes magazine articles for the brotherhood.
